adidas Consortium’s Sneaker Exchange program is themed around uniting two different sneaker shops for the purpose of creating two sneakers. The range launched in January with Colette and Undefeated crafting the EQT Support Refined and Campus.
For February, Sneaker Exchange is bringing together North Carolina based Social Status with Stockholm’s Sneakersnstuff. The theme is monochrome luxury, influenced by transformations of trainers from purely functional pieces to status symbols.
SNS and Social Status have given the UltraBOOST and Superstar BOOST monochrome luxury treatment…
The UltraBOOST is the first to get the makeover. adidas’ marquee runner-turned- casualwear sensation is executed in breathable grey/white melange Primeknit upper with leather overlays. It features a taped toe-tip and – as the luxurious highlight – a soft matte suede cage.
We have applied the same BOOST™ and Primeknit attributes to the Superstar, giving the old-school basketball silhouette advantages of today’s technology. The result is a lighter, more flexible take on a late sixties hardwood classic.
SNS is “super hyped” for what they have created with Social Status and they are not the only ones. The kicks are set to launch on the 8th of February at adidas Consortium dealers and likely will sellout quickly. Hit Social Status and Sneakersnstuffon the release date.
Other adidas Consortium dealers should make their stock available on the 18th of February, UK based END included.
