The Aminé x New Balance 610 is dropping this month with UK based END listing the sneaker on its Launches platform for a 24th of August drop.
Marking his debut collaborative sneaker, Portland rapper Aminé and New Balance link up for a bespoke take on the trail running-inspired 610, dubbed “The Mooz”. The sneaker itself is a reflection of the experimental style and freedom in self-expression favoured by Aminé, transformed with unique details and a distinctive colour palette.
he sneaker itself is inspired by bananas — which, in his recent Throwing Fits appearance, Aminé said is an homage to his come up and 2016’s viral video “Caroline” — which is referenced both in the earthy brown and yellow colourway and the details throughout. Perhaps the most notable comes by way of the 610 branding at the sidewall, which is transformed into a snow globe-like feature with a mini bunch of bananas floating inside. The sneakers even come housed in a crate-like box, to further drive home the banana-inspired theme.
