Since 2020, A-COLD-WALL* and Dr. Martens have forged a fruitful partnership, one born out of a shared love of utilitarian design and subcultural uniforms. Their latest link up represents an extension of their collaborative vision, bringing the 1461 Bex under the spotlight once again.
The result is a reflection of Samuel Ross’ penchant for recontextualising architectural forms through a fashion lens, reworking the 1461 with angular, brutalist-like lines throughout its uppers. To further the shoe’s industrial aesthetic, other details come by way of zips at the tongues in lieu of laces and silver-toned rivets. The shoe comes in a duo of colourways, both black and grey, and is finished with A-COLD-WALL* branding detailed at the heel.
