This May sees PUMA once again un-earth some lesser seen gems from the brands vast back catalog of sporting inspired styles. Re-introducing the PUMA Colibri, first manufactured in former Yugoslavia for as far as we can tell just one season in 1979. Making this one a bit of a rarity as far as the shoes concerned. The recipe doesn’t stray too far from the tried and tested formula. A vibrant royal blue hue takes center stage on the upper as we see a primarily leather upper favored with suede bumper overlays around the toe in that iconic T-toe formation. A leather PUMA formstrip, gold foil branding and an era correct PUMA woven brand label perched on the tongue round off the upper. Running beneath is a gum coloured cup-sole unit that PUMA have faithfully recreated especially for the Colibri re-launch and mirrors those rare as hens teeth vintage pairs.
