May 2023 sees the adidas Bermuda make a welcome return to the adidas line up. Similar in some regards to it’s approach as adidas’s much lauded ‘City Series’. The Bermuda forms part of adidas’s more freziet indebted ‘Island Series’ where the contrasting bright shades of suede commonly associated with European Cities are swapped out for more laid back tonal earth-leaning affairs often sporting tones of brown, taupe, oceanic blues and natural pops of colour to create – looking in retrospect – what is a mature refined series of shoes that celebrates the quirks and intricacies of adidas design from that period. Making the product a discerning choice for dressers then and now.
Putting our focus back on the Bermuda. This 2023 re-introduction of the style see’s three breezy colourways drop. Boasting buttery soft suede uppers with a near tonal suede applied to the iconic three stripes and and heel tab. An adidas Trefoil logo lock up appears screened on each tongue as well as across the footbeds. Running beneath is the Bermuda’s dependable cup sole tooling offered here in an era apt gum finish.
