Following on from END. and adidas’ recent “Three Bridges” collaborative capsule, which saw the two fashion entities create a football culture-inspired capsule that paid homage to END.’s three flagship cities, the retailer join forces with the German stalwarts once again to present their first foray into the ZX series, the ZX9000 “Kiln”.
Known for its pivotal role in the development of adidas’ legendary Torsion system, the ZX footwear range has become a mainstay within the sneaker world for its premium level of support, comfort and stability. Here, the ZX9000 model receives a bespoke update, replete with conceptual and technical clarity. Offering up the ZX9000 “Kiln” sneaker, END. and adidas look to the world of ceramics for inspiration, encapsulating the individual aesthetics of each stage of pottery making – from raw clay to the glazed finished product, presenting an elegant form of athleticism.
Cast in a colourful but subtle blend of sky blue, pale grey and terracotta, the “Kiln” embodies the art of ceramics and pottery. Replicating the distinctive aesthetic of a painted vase, rustic with an earthy un-glazed foundation, this classic running sneaker sees style and substance married in perfect harmony. Constructed with durable mesh uppers and smooth suede overlays, dual-branded patches to the tongue and the luminous green deubré complete the casual but athletic look.
The END. x adidas ZX 9000 “Kiln” is now live on END Launches with the draw set to close at 16:01 GMT on the 22nd of May.
