The Huarache was Nike’s first running shoe without a structural heel collar and was constructed with a neoprene upper. At the time, the synthetic material had only been used in footwear on surf booties. Like many Tinker Hatfield designs, the silhouette was the first of its kind and this special-edition Huarache blends elements from another Hatfield creation. The mudguard, outsole design and tongue label from the Air Max 1 reimagine the streetwear staple for an Air Max aesthetic.
This season, Nike is offering another round of kicks from its DNA CH.1 PACK. The drop sees Nike transfer the look of the “OG Blue” Air Max 1 to the Air Huarache. The design goes beyond the colors with the Air Max 1 inspiring the toe panels, the top eyelets and the tongue tag.
Find the Nike Air Huarache “OG Blue” on the SNKRS app on the 9th of April for $130. However, you can already find in some places outside of the USA. Check your locals for availability.
