UK sneaker mainstay Size? are celebrating their 20th year since inception in 2020, and in amongst the changing climes of sneaker retailers, that’s really no simple feat.
Arriving in London in 2000, it was one of the first UK retailers to boldly pick up on the sneaker masses reaching for more niche yet popular appeal. Appearing as UK sneaker culture was steadily growing up and morphing out of the shadows with a double whammy of stateside MTV hip-hop, and our own ever increasingly popular, terrace casual style. Size? seemed to offer a more youth focussed, smarter looking, alternative to sneaker multi-chain tracksuits and sports-led retailer game wears.
Offering up many UK Size? Only Sneaker exclusives was a good move too. Consistently showing on the pulse, taste, diversity, cornering instant collector appeal. With grail status collabs like the 2005 Dave White collection and the later adidas originals heritage Dublin re-issue, Size? never stopped appearing on the global sneaker radar. It become a favourite one stop shop to pick up the brands, apparel and sneakers not often found under the same roof. And the youth on UK’s high street needed and welcomed it, and it still works. The fans always came back for more, and the rest is ….. well, See it for yourself this weekend.
So as a thank you, Size? Have a slew of launch campaigns and exclusive events happening throughout 2020, and it all kicks off with a London exhibition celebrating Size? past, present and future.
Let’s see whats instore for 2020… … we’re excited.
