Virgil Abloh as part of his position as Creative Director at Louis Vuitton has created a city themed LV 408 Trainer Hi collection.
Here, we get a look at the Chicago and NYC entries to the range. The retro basketball look is set in luxe materials with production coming from Louis Vuitton’s presence in Italy. The design includes 106 components with each sneaker taking shape over a six hour production cycle.
Both the Chicago and NYC editions of the LV 408 Trainer Hi take on black and grey colorways. What separates the two are the accents. The Chicago edition has an NFL influence in Bears’ orange. The NYC look is accented with Mets/Knicks blue and orange.
The NYC edition will release on the 25th of November. The Chicago drop will follow on the 4th of December.
Colorways releases for Paris, Milan, London, Dubai, Seoul, Shanghai and Tokyo will follow.
