
When Tinker Hatfield designed the Air Max 1, he wanted to make the sneaker’s Air cushioning visible. His concept was influenced by the “inside-out” architecture of the Pompidou Centre. With the ‘Sketch To Shelf’ Pack, Nike Sportswear brings exposes another revealing layer of the sneaker’s design.
Here, the silhouette is fitted with sketch book graphics. This includes a very precise technical blueprint style design and one that has more of a raw sketch graphical look. Both sneakers feature text on their uppers, giving them an Off-White vibe. The detaining on each sneaker goes down to the translucent outsoles that continue their unique graphical themes.
