Louisiana based Politics is using local flavor to create its latest sneaker collaboration. The sneaker shop has teamed with New Orleans French Quarter based Café du Monde to create an edition of the Saucony Shadow 5000.
As the cafe is well known for its beignets, the sneaker is inspired by the pastry in a brown toned colorway that is listed as “beignet/sugar”. Reinforcing the theme, the kicks are housed in a special sneaker box that reads “beignet mix”.
The kicks will launch at Politics on the 22nd of June.
