Nike Sportswear is currently working with three NBA players to offer fresh takes on retro sneakers. Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum worked with a Nike designer to craft his own edition of the Air Max 97.
Illustrations on the upper of the Nike Air Max 97 by Jayson Tatum represent the forward’s Saint Louis roots, including graphics of the Gateway Arch (also referenced through the shoe’s metallic silver midsole), his 314 area code and more.
The Nike Air Max 97 x Jayson Tatum will launch on the 13th of June at the House of Hoops by Foot Locker. Then on the 15th of June, the sneaker will hit other Foot Locker shops.
