LeBron James as a Los Angeles Laker is standing on the shoulders of legends. The franchise holds 16 championships over its 72 years, achieved by the likes of Mikan, West, Abdul-Jabbar, Magic, Kobe, Shaq, and the list goes on.
Nike Basketball is set to release an edition of the LeBron 16 that honors the glory of the Laker past and LeBron’s connection to it. The drop is set in a soft toned mix of purple and gold with the heel in Minneapolis Lakers’ blue on the heel. The heel also features all the years that the Lakers won the NBA title.
The sneaker will launch on the 18th of May. And only time will tell if LeBron will add to the Lakers’ championship count.
