About five years ago, Under Armour made a quiet start to their return to the top of the hoops category. Now, this entry returns via the Under Armour Spawn Anatomix Low. Glistening in Gold tones, it’s not too shabby on the court either.
The first thing we need to talk about is that midsole. The cushion is going to make a lot of Under Armour hoops heads happy – Micro G is BACK! This underrated cushion system was a surprisingly effective option at a noticeably lower price point than, say, Zoom Air. Here, it makes a comeback in a slightly less dense iteration, offering a softer feel underfoot.
The traction can’t be overstated here. It’s sticky and relatively durable. Add in that low cut and soft but effective Micro G and you’ve got yourself one heck of a shoe for guards.
