We get a quick look at a shoe you’re likely to have heard very little about, the Puma Cali-0. This old school model comes to us from deep in the Puma archives. Much like a lot of skate-focused sneaker companies at the time, the brand was focusing in on the laid-back stylings of the West Coast sneaker community.
This vintage rendition of the Puma Cali-0 is potent in answering that market need, delivering on both style and subtle substance. The looks are about as essentialist as it gets, going for a muted combination of a White base with Blue contrasting notes. Perforations on the toe-box remind us how prevalent that design choice was in the 80s and 90s.
Finally, the dark Gum bottoms round this vintage look out nicely. It’s still about West Coast as a shoe gets. Get a closer look for yourself over at Sneak Avenue.
