For its latest collaboration with Jordan Brand, Nike SB is harnessing the power of symbolism. The subject of collaboration is again the Air Jordan 1. And like the 2014 Nike SB x Air Jordan 1, the design features a wear-off paint job.

This time, the colorway starts in Los Angeles Lakers’ purple and gold to goes to Chicago Bulls’ black and red. The color transformation evokes the transition of the Los Angeles Lakers being the NBA team of the 80s to the Bulls taking the 90s NBA team crown. The transition was cemented in the 1991 NBA Finals when the Bulls one their first championship against the aging Lakers.

The sneaker is expected to drop on the 25th of May. Stay with us for updates.
