In celebration of their Shibuya store 1st anniversay, AsicsTiger have invited designer/illustrator Yu Nagaba to collaborate on a 3-piece capsule collection leading with the early 90’s running favourite, the Gelsaga, alongside matching apparel all featuring Yu Nagaba’s recognisable character illustrations.
The Gelsaga in a crispy clean and simple off-white hued monotone upper, uses natural birch-colored leather, and Yu Nagaba’s illustrations are featured on the heel, outsoles, and sockliner. Shibuya and Tokyo, written in Nagaba’s handwriting in Japanese, is printed on the tips of the shoelaces. While additional soft text appear on the front ends of the mudguards adding nicely to an already detail laden concept. Matching cap and t-shirt, also feature Yu’s playful line drawing character.
