Following on the Moon Landing edition of the Air Max 90, Nike Sportswear will deliver a Mars themed counterpart.

Using the standard soled edition of the Air Max 90, Nike builds the Mars Landing upper with its molded Vac-Tech design technique.

The colorway is listed as mars stone and magma orange and the design is dominated by a Mars surface pattern. The silver used on the tongue and heel seemingly references space suits and space travel tools. The sneaker sits on a grey speckled black sole, which has starry vibe.

The sneaker will launch on the 16th of March through shops that include Afew.

To mark the release, the Dusseldorf based shop has created two pictorials showcasing the Nike Air Max 90 “Mars Landing”.

For the Nike Air Max 90 “Mars Landing” we couldn’t decide which concept and idea fit the best for this special Sneaker. That’s why we did two different kinds of photo shooting with different topics.

The first concept is showing the first human on Mars. On his mission, he discovers the Nike Air Max 90 “Mars Landing” on the planet. Immediately he puts on the sneaker to have the right footwear on the planet.

The second photo shooting is all about the low gravity on planet Mars. To show this effect we teamed up with RedBull BC1 Allstyle Champion Franky Dee and Eva, who is a specialist in levitation photography. Together with them, we created a scene like there is no gravity. With the Nike Air Max 90 “Mars Landing” on feet you are floating through the streets.
