The Under Armour Spawn Anatomix Low has had an interesting time in the spotlight. Frankly, it deserves a bit more credit than it gets in the basketball sneaker category.
This show was, after all, a pioneer in UA’s adventures in hoop shoes. Before Steph Curry took the world by storm, the brand’s trials were a bit more quiet on the retail front. Now, that’s not to say they didn’t have punching power. On the contrary, Kemba Walker was a UA athlete.
In fact, he was one of the first to really put the Anatomix to the test back in its earlier days. Here, we see this underrated shoe return in a modern low-cut iteration. It’s still a guard-first shoe at heart, though.
The most significant upgrade will be to the relatively thin cushioning, now in an impressive Micro G foam.
