Pharrell and adidas are ready to put their foot forward into the coming Chinese New Year with a couple of thematic sneaker drops.
The collection includes the Crazy BYW, which Williams has dressed in a scaly dragon textured pattern over its Primeknit build. AMBITION is then stitched across the upper, giving the sneaker an aspirational quality for the new year. The color scheme for the design fits the moment in a cultural significant and bold combination of red and yellow.
The second sneaker celebrating the year of the pig is an edition of the Solar HU Glide. The sporty lifestyle runner is given form through a mix of textile based materials. The color combination for the design is done in a mix of black and red with golden and yellow detailing. Giving the sneaker its Chinese New Year and Pharrell touch, “Hu” and a Chinese character are prominently placed on the upper.
